Advisor to a private family fund  ·  Miami, Florida

Where lasting
value takes flight.

Pegasus Hill directs the investment capital of a single family across two strategies, kept deliberately separate: private markets. growth equity in frontier technology. public markets. equity in listed companies with a plan.

Approach

We are not a fund with a fixed life, and we are not a passive holder waiting on a fifth year. Fifteen years in the markets have taught us which companies to back and how to be useful to them early, whether that is a private company heading for a listing or a listed company that needs capital.

Pegasus Hill advises a single family investment vehicle. One family, one mandate, one decision maker. There is no committee of outside investors to consult and no fundraising cycle to serve, so we can say yes in weeks and stay involved after we do.

We keep things simple. Straightforward terms, a clear plan, and people you can call. Our job is to pick the right companies and then get out of the way of the people running them, helping where it counts and not where it does not.

Who we partner with

Two strategies. Kept separate on purpose.

A private market strategy for frontier technology on its way to a listing, and a public market strategy for companies already listed that need capital for what comes next. Two different kinds of company, one decision maker, and the same simple approach to both.

Private markets · Growth investments

Frontier technology, on the path to public.

Growth equity in private technology and clinical stage biotechnology companies. Pre revenue is fine when the milestones are clear and there are public companies to compare it to. We invest, and then we help the company make the move to the public markets when it is ready.

  • Growth round plus bridge to listing Capital
  • IPO, direct listing, or reverse merger Exit path

Public markets · Public equity

Capital for listed companies with a plan.

Minority positions in listed companies that need capital for strategic growth, a stronger balance sheet, or a transformation the market has not priced yet. We are an investor, not a buyer of control, and the terms are ones a board can read in one sitting.

  • Strategic growth, balance sheet, or a transformation Use

Where we focus

Two strategies, two sets of criteria.

Each strategy has its own filter. What they share is the same question: is this a company we would be glad to have backed in five years?

One exclusion. We do not invest in upstream oil and gas exploration or production.
How it works

From first call to public market.

Because the capital is a single family's, the path is short. Five steps, one decision maker, and nothing you will need a translator for.

1

Introduction

A direct conversation with a principal. You tell us the technology and what you need. We tell you quickly whether it fits.

2

Diligence

We get to know the technology, the team, and the market. Thorough, respectful of your time, and done in weeks rather than quarters.

Weeks
3

Terms

Plain terms that fit the company. We keep the paperwork simple enough that everyone on your side understands exactly what they signed.

Weeks
4

Close

Private: growth capital funds, and we start planning the move to public together. Public: the deal closes. Neither waits on an outside committee.

Months
5

Onward

Private: a company ready for the public markets. Public: a stronger balance sheet and room to grow. We stay in touch, and the company keeps compounding.

Outcome
We invest in leadership, not just the opportunity.Pegasus Hill Group

One family, one decision maker.

We direct a single family's capital. No external investors to consult, no committee to convene, no fund cycle to serve. A yes is a yes.

Fifteen years in the markets.

Public and private, good years and bad. That experience does one thing above all: it helps us recognize the companies worth backing, and back them early.

We have run companies.

Former operators and CEOs who rolled up their sleeves. Not analysts watching from a spreadsheet.

Useful early, not in year five.

We are not a permanent holder. We come in, help where it counts, and let the market recognize what the team built.
